About Springboard Performing Arts

Springboard is a professional performing arts academy offering youth and adult classes in singing, dancing, acting and stage production. It was established in 2013 by Chris Barron and Louise Barron-Jones and is the only school locally that is run by two experienced West End and Broadway performers. Louise and Chris don't just 'talk the talk', they've been there and are committed to helping others realise their dreams. With years of professional experience, they train their students to become 'triple threats' i.e. strong in all three areas of performance. They are your springboard to success… your step to the stage!

Louise Barron-Jones

Originally from the Wirral, Louise trained as a dancer throughout her youth, being named All-England Ballet Champion in her teens. When she was 16 she left the Wirral, having been offered a place at the prestigious Laine Theatre Arts school just outside London.

Following her training at Laine she worked on tour, on West End stages and internationally as a Singer, Dancer, Dance Captain and Choreographer with many well-known artists and creatives. It was while playing the lead role of PEARL in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s STARLIGHT EXPRESS that she met her husband, American actor Chris Barron.

Louise and Chris have recently returned to the Wirral to share their collective experience by opening their new performing arts school, SPRINGBOARD PERFORMING ARTS. When not teaching, choreographing or taking care of her two children you can also find Louise performing with her latest project, the close vocal harmony group The Poppies.
